At this time of the year one often sees the magnificent pink displays of the Cape Chestnut (Calodendrum capense) in the remaining groves of natural forest.
We are fortunate to have one of these trees in our garden which has flowered prolifically this year - producing a cloud of pink light especially when the sun shines on it.
