SAINT-CYPRIEN STAND-OFF

The small town of Saint-Cyprien in the Dordogne is dominated by the abbey with its 12th century bell-tower. Beautiful golden sandstone houses with typical Perigordian roofs line the steep narrow streets which have to be negotiated as one climbs up the hill.

Obviously here we were moving through "no-man's land" between two cats loudly asserting their ownership of at least their respective sides of the street ... not much else was happening in Saint-Cyprien that afternoon - possibly l'heure de sieste!
