First of the month and I join other City Daily Photo bloggers in posting a "Shop Window" picture. Parisian department stores certainly do not hold back when it comes to promoting their wares and, of course, at Christmas time their efforts are doubled!
I took this photograph of a Galeries Lafayette shop window on Christmas Day 2013 (note how empty the streets were). I enjoy its intriguing multi-dimensionality - les peres noel in the window, the reflection of the street and the people walking by - their feet mingling with those of the passers-by. The dotted lines on the suitcases just add to the visual confusion.
