The Assemblee Nationale, the lower house of the French Parliament, has occupied le Palais-Bourbon since 1830, It was built in 1722 by Louis XIV for his daughter, the Duchesse de Bourbon.
It is here that important decisions will be made as strategies are formulated to counter the terrorist threat facing France.
