On returning from a walk along the shore of Lake Annecy we re-entered the old city. Many townsfolk were setting off on an "after work" stroll in the late autumn crepuscule. The first winter snow had already fallen on the surrounding mountains, so this was possibly their last chance to enjoy such an evening walk.
