Blue window shutters are found everywhere in France. I do not know of a statistical survey, but I am sure that, if such a survey were to be conducted, it would show that blue is the most popular shutter colour. One can only surmise the reason(s) for this choice ... patriotism? support of Les Bleues? the fact that blue matches the shades of the natural stone used? the coolness of blue in the hot summer months? Who knows?
