CYCLING HOLIDAYS

Cycling in France is a very popular activity, both as a means of commuting and as a leisure activity.  It has been estimated that on average 80 kilometres are ridden by each inhabitant per year and with a population of more than 50 million, that equates to 4 billion kilometres per year!

Research has also revealed that 7,2 million people take holidays linked to cycling in France each year and that contributes a staggering 5,6 billion euros to the economy!

I am sure none of the above was on this young lady's mind as she struggled up the hill on her way to St Pierre d'Entremont.
