ARTISTS OF THE PLACE DU TETRE

The Place du Tetre in the heart of Montmartre has seen artists setting up their easels since the beginning of the 20th century.

One finds them there, regardless of the season, regardless of the weather, routinely producing portraits of tourists, scenes of Paris - the iconic buildings, boulevards, bridges and, of course, le tour Eiffel!

Montmartre in the early 1900s was where one encountered the likes of Picasso and Utrillo and their fellow modern artists.

L'Espace Salvador Dali, a museum dedicated to his sculpture and drawings is found nearby.
