This week I will feature photographs of stone buildings starting with this photo of the 12th century Chateau de Beynac in the Dordogne.
The castle has undergone a great deal of modification and repair over the centuries as can be seen in the different styles of stone work evident in the photo.
The castle is now privately owned and a great deal of restoration has taken place since taking ownership in 1962.
