MERCI POUR LE FOIE GRAS


The Sarlat food-markets (Wednesdays and Saturdays) feature the products that have been produced in the area for centuries - foie gras, walnuts, truffles, wild mushrooms, cheeses and pork delicacies.
As a symbol of the region's gratitude to the geese (the foie gras producers), this imposing statue has been erected overlooking the Place de la Liberte, where the geese keep a watchful eye on proceedings.
